Fall 2024

• Classes Start: August 22, 2024
• Degree Application: September 13, 2024
• Doctoral Dissertation First Submission: October 1, 2024 · 5 p.m. (U.S. Eastern Time) (*Note: This date was extended due to Hurricane Helene.)
  
• Master’s Thesis First Submission: October 23, 2024 · 5 p.m. (U.S. Eastern Time)
• Final Submission for All ETD Students: November 22, 2024 · 5 p.m. (U.S. Eastern Time)
• Final Clearance (Approval): December 4, 2024 · 5 p.m. (U.S. Eastern Time)
• Clear Prior (to the upcoming term): January 10, 2025 · 5 p.m. (U.S. Eastern Time)

Spring 2025

• Classes Start: January 13, 2025
• Degree Application: February 7, 2025
• Doctoral Dissertation First Submission: February 12, 2025 · 5 p.m. (U.S. Eastern Time)
• Master’s Thesis First Submission: March 7, 2025 · 5 p.m. (U.S. Eastern Time)
• Final Submission for All ETD Students: April 4, 2025 · 5 p.m. (U.S. Eastern Time)
• Final Clearance (Approval): April 23, 2025 · 5 p.m. (U.S. Eastern Time)
• Clear Prior (to the upcoming term): May 9, 2025 · 5 p.m. (U.S. Eastern Time)

Summer 2025

• Classes Start: May 12, 2025
• Degree Application: July 2, 2025
• Doctoral Dissertation First Submission: June 13, 2025 · 5 p.m. (U.S. Eastern Time)*
• Master’s Thesis First Submission: July 11, 2025 · 5 p.m. (U.S. Eastern Time)
• Final Submission for All ETD Students: July 25, 2025 · 5 p.m. (U.S. Eastern Time)
• Final Clearance (Approval): August 7, 2025 · 5 p.m. (U.S. Eastern Time)
• Clear Prior (to the upcoming term): August 20, 2025 · 5 p.m. (U.S. Eastern Time)

*Doctoral students need to submit degree applications by the Doctoral First Submission deadline in order to be eligible for Summer degree certification. Please note that degree application deadline falls after Doctoral First Submission deadline in Summer term only.
