On this webpage, you will find the deadlines all University of Florida thesis and dissertation students must meet to submit their theses or dissertations in time to graduate. Students must submit on or before these deadlines in order to meet them.

Summer 2026

Classes Start: May 11, 2026
Degree Application: July 1, 2026
Doctoral Dissertation First Submission: June 16, 2026 · 5 p.m. (U.S. Eastern Time)
Master’s Thesis First Submission: July 7, 2026 · 5 p.m. (U.S. Eastern Time)
Final Submission for All ETD Students: July 21, 2026 · 5 p.m. (U.S. Eastern Time)
Final Clearance (Approval): August 6, 2026 · 5 p.m. (U.S. Eastern Time)
Clear Prior (to the upcoming term): August 19, 2026 · 5 p.m. (U.S. Eastern Time)

*Doctoral students need to submit degree applications by the Doctoral First Submission deadline in order to be eligible for Summer degree certification. Please note that degree application deadline falls after Doctoral First Submission deadline in Summer term only.

Fall 2026

Classes Start: August 20, 2026
Degree Application: September 11, 2026
