You will need to access many resources on campus, including using it for RTS bus rides, dining, campus events, bookstore purchases, accessing facilities, identification, library privileges, and more. Alachua County Library District serves urban and rural communities through 12 branch locations, two bookmobiles, and multiple deposit collections. Its goal is to provide all community members with free, open and equal access to education, information, and entertainment. They have books, DVDs, audiobooks, and much more available for use.  

 

Fun4GatorKids is the ultimate resource for finding stuff to do with kids in the Gainesville, FL area. They have over 2500 listings and the directory is updated weekly. You can find information on summer camps, local events, schools, and childcare, and much more.  

 

Gainesville is served by the Alachua County public schools district. This is where you will find information on school zoning, bus service, school meals, and all things school related.  


Identification, social security, and driver license 

Driver license application, voter registration, and vehicle registration are all done through the Alachua country tax collector. International students who are receiving a graduate assistantship will also need to obtain a social security card.  More information
