Gratitude and Appreciation: A Tribute to UF Graduate Students
The University of Florida is excited to announce Graduate Student Appreciation Week (GSAW), scheduled from April 1-5, 2024. This year's theme, "Oh, The Places Grad Gators Will Go," highlights the myriad of opportunities awaiting our graduate students during their programs and beyond as they embark on remarkable journeys.
Originally established in 1993 by the National Association of Graduate-Professional Students, GSAW is a time dedicated to supporting and recognizing the invaluable contributions of graduate and professional students across the nation. In 2010, then-Governor of Florida, Charlie Crist, officially recognized GSAW by signing a proclamation designating the first week of April each year for this purpose.
At UF, we're proud to participate in this celebration, highlighting the significant impact and value that graduate and professional students bring to our campus and communities. During GSAW, the University of Florida Graduate School will host a series of events to celebrate our diverse community of graduate students. These events will provide opportunities for students to showcase their research, participate in virtual and in-person activities, and enjoy complimentary food, prizes, and friendship.
We invite you to join us as we honor and appreciate the outstanding contributions of our graduate students during this special week!

Join us for a fun day at Lake Wauburg North Shore, hosted by the College of Pharmacy Graduate Student Organization. Please note that the pavilion has already been reserved, but we will utilize available picnic tables and amenities. This event is open exclusively to current graduate students. Don't forget to bring your Gator 1 card for entry to the event.
As the event will not be catered, we kindly ask you to bring your own lunch.
